UK premium wine and spirits distributor Enotria has appointed Phillip White as its CEO with immediate effect.
White (below) succeeds John Colley, who has held the role on an interim basis since September last year following Enotria’s takeover by Majestic Wine Group. Global Drinks Intel has asked Majestic if Colley will resume his responsibilities as group CEO.
White brings nearly four decades of experience across alcohol, on-premise and foodservice distribution, having held senior roles at Whitbread, Brakes and Bacardi, before moving to Sysco Corp, where he led Kent Frozen Foods and Medina Foodservice. Most recently, he served as the CEO of Gordon & MacPhail, stepping down last year ahead of a relocation to southern England.
“We’re at the start of another important and transformational year for the Enotria business,” said Colley. “We have already made solid progress over the past nine months, but I am really looking forward to working with Phillip and his team to accelerate that momentum and deliver on our exciting plans.”
In September last year, Enotria reverted to its earlier name, having been known as Enotria&Coe in the interim.
