The US arm of AB InBev has announced its latest round of funding for its brewing operations, injecting US$9m into a New York site.

The financing in the Baldwinsville brewery will expand capacity to produce Anheuser-Busch’s ‘Beyond Beer’ offerings, including NÜTRL Vodka Seltzer and Skimmers Vodka Iced Tea. Other aspects of the investment include brewery equipment maintenance and updates to the facility’s refrigeration units.

The injection comes as part of AB InBev’s ‘Brewing Futures’, announced earlier this year, an initiative comprising $300m for its US manufacturing operations.

Notwithstanding the recent funding, the brewer has invested circa $90m in its Baldwinsville site over the last five years. Baldwinsville is one of 12 breweries operated by Anheuser-Busch in the US.

In June, the brewer lined up a $17m spend on its facility in Houston, Texas. In March, the US division announced a cash injection of $4.2m into its brewery in Williamsburg, Virginia to “drive local economic growth”. Prior to that, the AB said it would up the production capacity at its Los Angeles facility through a $16m investment.
