India’s Tilaknagar Industries is set to roll out two brandy iterations into its domestic travel retail channel.
The brand owner has partnered with Fairmac Shipstores to launch its flagship Mansion House brandy alongside Monarch Legacy Edition at Hyderabad duty free. The latter is the first release under the company’s new luxury vertical, House of TI.
The 40% ABV Legacy Edition (above), which was launched in November last year, is a 100% pure grape brandy that is a blend of both French grape spirit, aged for up to eight years, and Indian grape spirit from the country’s Sahyadri region.
“It’s exciting to expand our presence further in the travel retail sector, which is such an important space for showcasing Indian spirits on a global stage,” said Tilaknagar’s MD, Amit Dahanukar. “Hyderabad Duty Free is a significant expansion in this, as it serves as a gateway for both Indian and international travellers.”
In July, Pernod Ricard agreed to sell its Imperial Blue whisky to Tilaknagar for an undisclosed fee, with the divestment designed to “improve the ability to capitalise on the country’s strong macroeconomic fundamentals and long-term potential” for Pernod.
