The US division of Viña Concha y Toro is to switch distribution partners in California later this year.
Breakthru Beverage Group will assume responsibilities for the state from 1 September. The move strengthens the tie-up between the two companies to include a tenth market in the US.
Details of who currently distributes in California for Viña Concha y Toro USA were not immediately available.
As well as CyT’s imported brands, including Casillero del Diablo and Trivento, Breakthru will also oversee the group’s US wines in their home state; The company owns Bonterra Organic Estates, the current name for Fetzer Vineyards, which was acquired from Brown-Forman in 2011.
Earlier this month, Republic National Distributing Co announced its intention to pull out of California, following the loss of a pair of its spirits clients in the state.
