As we approach #WorldMartiniDay (on Saturday 21 June), gin aficionados are set for a treat: the spotlight is on the new Cygnet 77, the latest expression from luxury gin sensation, Cygnet.
Launched at Harrods and given a live debut on martini menus at Hakkasan Mayfair, this ultra-premium gin is raising the bar for what ‘luxury’ means in the spirits world.
Cygnet 77 – A craft revelation
Officially unveiled at Harrods on 22 April 2025, coinciding with World Earth Day, Cygnet 77 is the result of bold innovation and unwavering craftsmanship.
Starting with the award-winning Cygnet 22 base, the spirit is then aged for over 55 weeks in ex-Welsh whisky casks infused with Manuka honey. This unique treatment imparts the gin with a warm, woody depth, softened by caramelised sweetness and floral complexity. The resulting tasting notes highlight juniper, chamomile, orange-blossom, oak spice and a full-bodied silky finish.
As expected with Cygnet, the brand framed the experience around sustainable luxury. The gin is encased in the iconic, award-winning Eirlys decanter, hand-blown to mimic a water droplet, 50% lighter than standard bottles, and designed for reuse, underscoring their eco-conscious ethos and Welsh provenance.
Balancing luxury with intention
Priced at GBP129 for a 70 cl bottle, Cygnet 77 enjoyed an exclusivity period at Harrods for four weeks from its release in April.
The launch featured a discussion on sustainable luxury between Harrods MD Michael Ward and Cygnet co-founder Andrew Levitas, reinforcing environmental responsibility as central to the brand’s positioning. This aligns with Cygnet’s broader mission: creating premium spirits that marry indulgence with tangible sustainability.
Not only has their distilling approach won acclaim (The Spirits Business, IWSC, The Gin Masters 2024), their packaging also maintains a lower carbon footprint.
Cygnet’s rise – From a whisper to a roar
Since its founding in 2023 by Katherine Jenkins OBE and Andrew Levitas, Cygnet has rapidly secured a reputation for pushing the boundaries of luxury gin. Its debut, Cygnet 22, earned Gold and Master accolades at major competitions in 2024.
Cygnet 77 builds on this momentum having secured a Gold at this year’s IWSC Awards, delivering a spirit that’s both a sensory experience and a statement of intent.
Cygnet 77 at Hakkasan Mayfair – Martini magic
In celebration of #WorldMartiniDay this month, Hakkasan Mayfair is the first luxury on-premise outlet to showcase an exquisite Cygnet Martini Menu featuring both Cygnet 22 and the new Cygnet 77.
With the Duet Martini, a two-person experience, Cygnet 77 is presented in a decadent dirty martini, accompanied by just the right amount of caviar to leave you wanting more. The Cygnet Welsh Negroni is a luscious twist on the classic, infused with strawberry and coconut.
This collaboration, crafted with Hakkasan’s expert bartenders, reinforces the premium positioning and cocktail versatility of Cygnet, translating their sustainable luxury into glassware that excites Mayfair clientele.
The special menu runs until 6 July, giving London drinkers ample time to sip, savour and celebrate the art of true craftsmanship – perfect timing for World Martini Week.

With Cygnet 77, the brand has dialled luxury up to eleven, delivering a gin that blends innovative ageing, sustainability, premium aesthetics and cocktail cult appeal. Just in time for #WorldMartiniDay, it offers both gin purists and experimental mixologists a new golden standard.
