Sparkling wine giant Henkell Freixenet has updated its logo in a move designed to “sharpen the company’s profile and strengthen the shared identity of the international group”.
The refresh, unveiled today (25 August), retains the ‘X’ nod to the merger of Henkell with Freixenet eight years ago. Also featuring in the new look is the line ‘making life sparkle’, which aims to “reinforce the shared identity of the global team”.
Of note is the introduction of a shared typeface that applies to both ‘Henkell’, the initial name of the German sekt business, and the former Spanish cava stand-alone, ‘Freixenet’.
“Our new design makes visible what defines Henkell Freixenet: the combination of heritage and tradition with innovation and global reach, guided by a strong commitment to our shared values,” said CEO Andreas Brokemper. “’Making Life Sparkle’ is a powerful claim: it reflects our mission and expresses our ambition to create meaningful moments that are remembered.”
Earlier this month, negotiations between Henkell Freixenet and champagne producer Maison Pommery & Associés over a potential majority stake purchase in the latter by the former ended without agreement.
