Diageo is utilising its Smirnoff vodka brand to front a responsible-drinking activation in the run-up to Christmas.
The global campaign, ‘Drops of Advice’, comprises six animated clips that will run from this week on the flagship brand’s Social Media channels. As well as recommending eating when drinking, the spots also suggest “avoiding top-ups”, “keeping an eye on your friends” and “staying hydrated”.
The videos have been created by Venezuelan animator Igor Bastidas.
As with the bulk of Diageo’s responsible drinking messaging, consumers will be signposted to the group’s ‘DrinkIQ’ platform, which is available in multiple languages and “provides … a range of resources to encourage moderate consumption”.
Earlier this month, the brand owner recruited a performer, a rap duo and a supermodel to front the UK marketing debut for Smirnoff’s vodka sibling, Cîroc.
