Rémy Cointreau is expanding the RTD line for its Cointreau liqueur with a duo of new canned cocktails.

The Cocktail Twists launches comprise Original Margarita and Passionfruit Margarita variants, each at 12.5% ABV and available in 12.5cl cans. The premixes follow the initial release in September last year from Cointreau Cocktail Twists, which included Lime Daiquiri and Berry Cosmo in bottle format.

The canned pair are on sale now at UK multiple retailer Waitrose at an SRP of GBP4 (US$5.30) per unit. The RTDs blend Cointreau with unspecified tequila and “natural ingredients” for what the company describes as “bar-quality” flavour.

“Our ready-to-drink cocktail range, now enhanced with new flavours on our classic Margarita and available in a can, is a premium expression of this consumption habit,” said Cointreau’s executive director, Clémence Gallet. “It is designed to invite cocktail lovers to savour Cointreau at any cocktail occasion, in an elevated and convenient way.”

In June, Rémy Cointreau’s Metaxa brand launched a two-strong line of canned cocktails in Europe.
