Rémy Cointreau has employed the skills of Chinese artist Xue Song for the latest Lunar New Year pack from Rémy Martin’s XO iteration.

The Rémy Martin XO x Xue Song Lunar New Year gift set, which has gone on sale this week in markets including the US, links the cognac’s centaur motif with the Year of the Horse. Available for a limited time, the pack carries an SRP in the US of US$210.

The Year of the Horse commences on 17 February, with the annual celebration providing brand owners in spirits – and cognac especially – with a sizable sales opportunity in markets such as China.

Despite booking a near-6% sales increase in the three months to the end of June, an 11% top-line tumble in the following quarter put Rémy Cointreau at -4.2% in sales terms from the first half of its fiscal 2026.

Last week, CEO Franck Marilly flagged the six-month period as marking “the start of a new era for Rémy Cointreau”. “It is time to challenge the way we think and operate,” he added, identifying five priority areas for the company’s medium-to-long-term future.

‘Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you’ll land among the stars’ – Rémy Cointreau’s then- CEO, Eric Vallat, speaks exclusively to Global Drinks Intel, from late 2023
