A Brand New Day is set to distribute the full Rémy Cointreau portfolio of brands in the Netherlands from 1 October, the pair have confirmed.
The independent Dutch distributor will be responsible for the distribution, brand development and “commercial expansion” of brands including Bruichladdich, Cointreau, Rémy Martin and The Botanist. Until now, Rémy Cointreau has handled its own distribution in the market.
“We are delighted to partner with A Brand New Day to develop the Rémy Cointreau brand portfolio in the Dutch market,” said Rémy Cointreau’s group chief markets officer, Ian McLernon. “We believe that there is significant potential to grow faster together, and we believe that A Brand New Day with their proven commercial execution and impactful brand storytelling will realise this long-term growth ambition for our brands.”
The new partnership coincides with the end of A Brand New Day’s tie-up with Campari Group at the start of October. In April, Campari Group announced it was planning to create an internal unit to handle the distribution of its portfolio in the Netherlands.
In India, Rémy Cointreau last month appointed Mumbai-based Monika Alcobev as its “exclusive” distribution and marketing partner. The move marked a consolidation of the company’s presence in the country.
