Rémy Cointreau has expanded the line-up of city-themed bottles for Rémy Martin’s VSOP iteration with two further designs.
The range, dubbed ‘This Is My City’, has been designed to “spotlight the cultural identity and creative spirit of iconic cities through bold, city-inspired designs”, according to the company. The initiative’s launch last February included designs representing the US cities of Atlanta, Chicago, Detroit and New York.
Los Angeles and Miami have been added to the limited-edition series as of this week, with all packs available to consumers in the US.
As well as the expansion, Rémy Cointreau has opened a competition for “creatives” in both cities, with one winner in each receiving a US$20,000 grant and one-on-one mentorship from television & fashion personality Skyh Black (for the Miami winner) and choreographer & dancer Aliya Janell (in LA).
“Miami and Los Angeles are cities that consistently move culture forward, shaped by bold and ever-evolving creative voices,” said Rémy Cointreau VP of luxury brands for the Americas, Tonia Mancino. “Bringing Remy Martin’s VSOP ‘This Is My City’ limited editions to these markets allows us to honour what makes each city distinct while supporting the next generation of leaders who are shaping culture within their communities.”
Last week, the Paris-headquartered group hired Christophe de Pous to head up its operations across the US and Canada.
