Diageo has commenced the rollout of Tanqueray Aperitivo, an addition to the gin brand’s portfolio, to three markets in mainland Europe.
With an ABV of 14.7%, the pink grapefruit-flavoured variant has been unveiled this week. Tanqueray Aperitivo has gone on sale this week in Austria, Germany and Switzerland at a per-bottle SRP of between EUR15.99 (US$18.64) and EUR17.99.
“Tanqueray Aperitivo … brings a fresh interpretation to one of Europe’s fastest-growing drinking occasions,” the brand owner said. “Building on its reputation for crafting exceptional botanical spirits, Tanqueray is expanding beyond the gin occasion with this launch.
“Tanqueray Aperitivo combines vibrant pink grapefruit with carefully selected botanicals – including Mediterranean gentian and rosemary – for a bittersweet flavour profile with a naturally bright finish.”
At the start of this year, Diageo recruited Sarah Jessica Parker to front the latest worldwide activation for Tanqueray, in which the actor said: “The no’s you give are what make life spectacular.”
