Independent luxury goods group Chanrossa has purchased a majority stake in Scottish 0.0% ABV spirit producer Feragaia.

The non-alcoholic brand will join R&B Distillers in Chanrossa’s growing “new wave spirits” portfolio alongside single malt whisky maker Isle of Raasay Distillery. The investment, financial details of which were not disclosed, will support Feragaia’s ambition to scale production and expand internationally, according to the new owner.

Founded in 2019 by Jamie Wild and Bill Garnock, Feragaia became Scotland’s first working alcohol-free distillery three years later. The Fife-based company’s namesake botanically-led spirit is produced using 12 botanicals, five grown at its own nursery, and is listed across premium on-premise and retail outlets domestically.

R&B Distillers’ MD, William Dobbie, said Feragaia’s addition “enhances our portfolio of like-minded brands and accelerates our global growth plans.” Wild and Garnock remain shareholders and will continue to lead the brand in partnership with R&B.

Feragaia will continue to be distributed in the UK by Cask Liquid Marketing until January.

Earlier this month, Hayman’s of London, the owner of the namesake gin brand, announced the launch of London 0%, marking the family-owned distiller’s debut in alcohol-free spirits.
