Bourdon Spirits Co has refreshed the portfolio of its Copper & Kings line, following the mark’s acquisition from Constellation Brands in August.
The revamped line-up introduces three core iterations: a six-year-old VSOP American brandy (43% ABV), a six-year-old bottled-in-bond American Apple Brandy (50% ABV), and a straight bourbon blend (46.5% ABV) that has been finished for three years in ex-brandy barrels. Each expression carries an SRP of US$19.99, $24.99 and $29.99, respectively, per 75cl bottle.
Bourdon Spirits founder Rob Bourdon said the launch signals a “return to authenticity, craft and creative innovation,” adding that the company aims to “reclaim America’s original spirit – brandy – with integrity and adventure”.
The new releases are now available at the Copper & Kings Distillery in Louisville’s Butchertown neighbourhood, with wider distribution to follow.
Founded in 2014 by Joe and Lesley Heron, Copper & Kings produces a range of spirits using unconventional techniques such as bourbon barrel–aged brandy and brandy barrel–finished bourbon.
Last month, the Kentucky Distillers’ Association revealed that the total volume of spirits in storage in Kentucky stands at 17.1m barrels across the state’s 127 licensed distilleries, the most since Prohibition.
