The craft spirits distiller confirmed late last week that its presence across the country will go through Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits. The arrangement, framed as a consolidation, will apply across the namesake brand’s portfolio to 40 states as an exclusive through the distributor.
Previous details about which companies handled US distribution for WhistlePig were not disclosed.
“We’ve experienced tremendous growth by delivering innovation beyond what the industry has seen while maintaining our independent, rural Vermont ethos,” said CEO Jeff Kozak. “It’s an exciting time for WhistlePig, and our new agreement with Southern Glazer’s will help us continue to scale.”
Eighteen months ago, the company appointed Sarah Long, whose career has included stints with Diageo and Remy Cointreau, as its CMO. At the same time, Duffy Sida moved from Campari Group to take on the position of chief sales officer.
