Viña Concha y Toro has announced that Rafael Guilisasti Gana is set to take over as chairman following the resignation of Alfonso Larraín Santa María.
Larraín Santa María, who cited personal reasons for his decision, will remain on the board as a director. Guilisasti Gana will step up from vice-chairman, with Felipe Larraín Vial set to assume that position.
The outgoing chair held the role since 1998 and was credited by the company for leading the international expansion of the Chilean wine group. Guilisasti Gana joined Viña Concha y Toro in 1978 and served as export director from 1985 to 1998, the year he became a company director.
Concha y Toro is due to report its financial results for the second quarter of fiscal 2025 later today (4 August).
In Q1, the group’s revenue for the three months to the end of March rose by 1.4% in reported terms – marking its weakest sales performance since Q3 2023.
