Here’s a round-up of the new launches from spirits brand owners in the week commencing 20 November.

Illva Saronno’s The Busker Small Batch Single Pot Still Irish whiskey

  • Irish whiskey, single pot still, no age statement. Matured in ex-Bourbon casks then finished in ex-Oloroso Sherry casks, 46.3% ABV
  • Heading to the UK’s off-premise channel, through “select retailers”, this month
  • SRP of GBP45 (US$) per 70cl bottle
The Busker has its first small-batch extension

Espanita Tequila Co’s Espanita Double Barrel Añejo

  • Tequila, añejo, aged in American white oak barrels for “at least” 12 months then has spent eight to ten months in ex-Bourbon casks, 40% ABV
  • Rolling out to selected US markets, including Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Indiana, Missouri and New York, from this week. Also on sale online through the brand’s website
  • SRP of US$59.99 per 75cl bottle. Part of the limited edition ‘Barrel Reserve’ line of iterations
Espanita’s ‘Barrel Reserve’ series, which debuted in March, now boasts an añejo

Brown Water Spirits’ OH Ingram River Aged Flagship Bourbon 2023

  • American whiskey, Bourbon, Tennessee, annual release, no age statement, 51.15% ABV
  • Released this month to six markets in the US, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Minnesota, Tennessee and Wisconsin. Also on sale online
  • SRP not immediately available (last year’s bottling was priced at US$99 per bottle), on sale in limited quantities
Like the rest of the OH Ingam portfolio, this year’s expression of Flagship Bourbon has been matured in a barrelhouse that floats on the Mississippi River

Proximo Spirits’ Reserva de la Familia by Jose Cuervo Añejo Cristalino Organico tequila

  • Tequila, cristalino, aged in new American oak barrels for “over a year” then finished in ex-Pedro Ximénez Sherry casks, 40% ABV
  • Rolling out across the US from this week to both the on- and off-premise channels
  • SRP of $149.99 per 75cl bottle
According to Jose Cuervo, the Cristalino segment was up 36% in value terms in the year to 15 July in the US

Casa Komos Brands Group’s Tequila Komos XO Batch No. 1

  • Tequila, matured for “up to 11 years” in ex-Bourbon and -wine barrels, then blended for a finish in ex-Oloroso Sherry casks, 42% ABV
  • Available “outside of the US” this week through high-end spirits outlets in the off-premise channel, Limited to 36 units
  • In the UK, SRP of GBP2,200 (US$2,740) per 70cl bottle
In Europe, the limited-edition extension of the Komos brand will go sale exclusively through Berry Bros & Rudd in London

Angus Dundee Distillers’ Tomintoul Vintage 1973 Cask No. 261 single malt

  • Scotch whisky, single malt, Speyside, 50 years old, single cask, 42.9% ABV
  • On sale through off-premise spirits specialists worldwide from this week
  • SRP of GBP10,000 (US$12,460) per bottle, limited to 281 units
The single-cask whisky has been double matured, once for 33 years in ex-Bourbon barrels followed by a further 17 years, this time in an ex-Oloroso Sherry hogshead
