Stock Spirits Group has confirmed to Global Drinks Intel the departure of its CFO, Karine Martin, after just two years in role.
Martin, who joined the Sierra tequila brand owner from Electrolux Group in April 2024, vacated the position in March to take a position outside of the drinks industry. Replacing her is Paola Agasso (below), who has spent the last nine months in Milan as CFO of cosmetic contract manufacturer Intercos Group.
Agasso’s career also includes almost six years (2020-2025) as CFO & board member at Yoox Net-a-Porter Group and nine years (2006-2015) with British American Tobacco.
“Paola brings a rare combination of international finance, strategy and transformation experience, as well as a strong track record of helping businesses grow,” said Stock CEO Steven Libermann. “I know her experience and perspective will be hugely valuable as we continue to strengthen the Group and invest for future growth.”
Also announced today (25 August) was the appointment of Robert Sas as the MD of Stock’s operations in its largest market, Poland. Sas, who coincidentally also spent nine years (1998-2008) at British American Tobacco, joins the company from FoodWell in Poland, where he was CEO for just over a year. The bulk of his career – 17 years, from 2008 to 2025 – was spent with Mondelez International in Poland, with the exception of four-and-a-half years (2016 to 2021) as marketing director for Germany & Austria.
“Paola and Robert are two exceptional additions, and I am delighted to welcome them to the team,” Libermann added. “They bring exactly the combination we need as we shape the future of Stock: global experience alongside deep local market understanding.
Libermann has headed up Stock since late last year when he replaced former Pernod Ricard executive Jean-Christophe Coutures.
