Stock Spirits has kicked off a marketing move in France for the Smooth Shot Vanilla extension of its Clan Campbell blended scotch whisky brand.
The variant, which is a liqueur comprising Clan Campbell with vanilla flavouring and debuted in April, is the subject of ‘Qu’importe la manière’, translated as ‘No Matter How’ in English. Set to run in the country across digital platforms and out-of-home, the campaign centres around Smooth Shot’s “versatile service proposal and playfulness”.
“Whisky comes with plenty of traditions; the right glass, the right way to serve it,” said Stock Spirits’ CMO, Anne Martin. “But who says we can’t challenge convention?
“Smooth Shot Vanilla brings a new expression to Clan Campbell, … developed to be served chilled as a shot. Working with [French advertising agency] Herezie, we have put that accessible taste and way of serving at the heart of a campaign that takes a fresh look at whisky’s familiar visual traditions.”
Stock Spirits relieved Pernod Ricard of Clan Campbell in mid-2023, buying the brand for an undisclosed fee as the French group agreed to a transaction as part of its “active portfolio management”.
