SpiritsEurope has concluded the search for its next lead, with Mark Titterington set to assume the position of director general later this year.
In January, the trade association, which is the umbrella organisation for Europe’s national bodies, announced the departure of Ulrich Adam after eight years. Brussels-based SpiritsEurope said at the time that Adam was due to remain as DG until mid-March.
Today (10 June), the entity said that Titterington (below) will commence on 1 September.
Titterington, who spent as six years as a Conservative then Liberal Democrat councillor in England from 2015 to 2021, co-founded the Forum for the Future of Agriculture, which is also based in the Belgian capital, 17 years ago. The NGO, co-founded by his then-employer, Syngenta, organises events at which “to debate sustainable agriculture and environmental challenges”.
Titterington was global head of corporate affairs at the agricultural technology company from 2016-2017 before spending almost six years as marketing & communications head at Indigo, another agriculture-focused business.
