Maison Ferrand has selected the Asia-Pacific unit of French compatriot La Maison du Whisky to distribute its full portfolio in Singapore.
The arrangement, which takes effect from Thursday (14 August), sees La Maison du Whisky Asia-Pacific assume responsibility for the likes of Citadelle gin, Ferrand cognac and Planteray rum (above). The division takes over from Proof & Co, which announced the “provisional liquidation” of its distribution operations in the city-state three weeks ago.
Founded in Paris almost 70 years ago, La Maison du Whisky set up the APAC division in Singapore in 2006. According to Maison Ferrand, this month’s switch “builds on a longstanding relationship”, with LMDW having handled its brands in France “for years”.
At the start of last year, privately owned Maison Ferrand changed the name of its Plantation rum brand to Planteray.
