The owner of the Bardstown Bourbon Co and Green River Distilling Co brands is getting ready to say goodbye to its president of two years.
Lofted Spirits has been informed by Pete Marino, who joined the business as president in May 2024, of his intention to leave at the end of June. Marino (below), who was president of emerging growth at Molson Coors Beverage Co for three-and-a-half years prior to joining Lofted, announced the news on LinkedIn earlier today (2 April).
The executive has “agreed to stay on as an advisor to continue supporting the commercial end of the business in any way I can after I wind down my operating role”.
Global Drinks Intel has contacted the Kentucky-headquartered brand owner and contract distiller for confirmation.
“It’s been a great few years of learning and growing,” Marino wrote. “As a team, we accomplished a lot. It’s a tough company and industry to leave, but it’s the right decision and right time for me.”
Following its purchases in 2022 of Bardstown Bourbon and Green River, private equity group Pritzker Private Capital combined the pair to create Lofted Spirits just over a year ago. As well as the two American whiskey distillers, the business also oversees contract distillation unit Lofted Custom Spirits.
