Bardstown Bourbon Co is making an acquisition of its own, four months after being taken over by a private equity group.
The company will buy Kentucky-based peer Green River Distilling Co for an undisclosed fee. The transaction follows the purchase in March of Bardstown Bourbon by Pritzker Private Capital in partnership with members of Bardstown’s current management.
As well as a distillery in Owensboro, Bardstown will also assume control of Green River’s production facility in South Carolina. The Green River brand will transition across, along with contract distilling arrangements.
