The Distilled Spirits Council of the US (Discus) has released details of a marketing campaign ahead of the country’s 250th anniversary celebrations in July.
The multi‑channel campaign, ‘Spirit Forward’, comprises a dedicated website supported by digital and social-media adverts and will run until the end of 2026. The trade association said the activation “celebrates distilled spirits’ deep roots in American history and their continued impact on culture, hospitality, craftsmanship and community”.
A one-minute video advert created for the campaign (below) shows Revolutionary Era characters clinking glasses with modern‑day drinkers. The ad will be aired on streaming services including Roku, Tubi, Samsung TV and Direct TV.
“The video, boosted by targeted advertising, is part of a broader digital and social media campaign across Discus platforms, reinforcing the message among adult consumers, media and policy makers that distilled spirits have been woven into America’s story since its beginning,” the organisation said.
In other recent US marketing news, AB InBev last week employed David Beckham for its Stella Artois brand in the run-up to this summer’s FIFA World Cup in North America.
