Bacardi has rejuvenated the tie-up for Patron Tequila with decanter maker Lalique, as the third in the series prepares to go on sale this month.
‘Patron en Lalique: Serie 3’ holds a 14-strong extra añejo blend, each of which have been matured for up to eight years. Limited to 299 units, the expression rolls out globally to high-end off-premise outlets as well as online through BlockBar.com.
The 750ml decanters, created at Lalique’s facility in France, are individually-numbered and carry an SRP of US$7,500.
Debuting seven years ago, the concept has been on hold since Serie 2 was launched in 2017.
Last week, Tequila rival Cuervo confirmed plans to update the packaging for its 1800 Tequila brand with the intention of providing “consumer education” about the wider category.
