Twelve-month sales rise by 17.9% to EUR365.7m [US$391.4m]

Amber Beverage Group has reported a double-digit sales increase from 2022, driven by its Tequila and Irish whiskey brands.

The privately-owned company, which is not obliged to announce its results performances, saw the top-line climb 17.9% in the 12 months of last year. Whether the increase was on an organic or a reported basis, which would include foreign currency fluctuations, was not disclosed.

Among the brand-related highlights singled out by Amber were healthy showings by the Rooster Rojo and Kah Tequila brands as well as Irish whiskies The Irishman and Writers’ Tears, which were acquired at the end of 2021.

A string of new markets were also brought on stream last year, according to the company, including Nigeria, Poland, Sweden and the United Arab Emirates.

“Thanks to our ability to adapt to the challenging conditions, I am confident that we will continue to move closer to our goal of becoming one of the top ten global spirits industry players,” said CEO Jekaterina Stuģe. “The global forecast for spirits in absolute figures without adjustments to inflation foresees stable growth of the industry through to 2025.”
