Bar Convent Brooklyn is back! This year’s on-premise conference and exhibition kicks off today [Tuesday] and runs until 14 June at Industry City in New York.
Here’s what some of the exhibitors have on offer for attendees.

- Trade association the Bureau National Interprofessionnel du Cognac [BNIC] is hosting a brace of seminars highlighting the category’s potential in the on-premise. On Tuesday at 12:15, Dan Nicolaescu will present ‘Which Cognac with Which Cocktail?‘, followed by Franky Marshall’s session on XO Cognac.
- Massachusetts-based Heavenly Spirits [Stand 8B-701] will be celebrating its 15th anniversary at BCB and will showcase the French spirits it imports into the US at the show. Among the brands available to taste is a raft of Armagnacs: The company claims to account for 40% of all Armagnacs sold in its home market.
- Stauning Danish Whisky [8-2A-1003-8 & 9] has crossed the Atlantic for this year’s event, but expect some sore heads at the craft distiller’s stand today: On Monday night, the whisky brand fronted a takeover of Double Chicken Please in Manhattan, featuring a trio of Stauning-based cocktails.
- A similar state of affairs is likely at De Kuyper Royal Distillers’ Heering Cherry Liqueur [IC19] stand. Monday also saw the brand behind the bar, this time at a pop-up at SoHo Cigar Bar on Sixth Avenue. You may need to pour your own Netherlands-influenced Old Fashioned.
