The founder-owned company hired ex-Campari sales executive Leah Miller late last year to spearhead its growth in the country.

Altamura Distilleries has expanded the US footprint of its namesake vodka to 20 states while also growing its sales team in the country.

The Italian vodka, which is distilled using durum wheat, is available from this month in states including the “key” markets of California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Nevada and New York. The single-SKU company, owned by founders Frank Grillo and Steve Acuña, has also expanded its team in the US, confirming the hiring of a director of sales late last year.

Altamura said its focus is to “build the infrastructure to scale with the trade, not just sell into it”.

The Milan-headquartered company’s 43% ABV vodka is also available direct-to-consumer in the US via the brand’s website, at an SRP of US$34.99 per 70cl bottle.

Altamura has also appointed ex-Campari on-premise specialist Leah Miller (above) as its director of sales for New York. Miller spent three years in sales at Founders Brewing Co before joining Campari America in 2019.

The latest developments follow a period of international expansion for the brand, which was launched in India with Delhi-based Amistad Spirits in 2024 and in mainland China and Hong Kong through Elire HK and Six Days Distro last year.
