Cuervo has lined up a pack update for its 1800 Tequila brand.
The company’s Proximo Spirits division is heading up a relaunch of 1800 following a packaging review across most of the brand’s portfolio. The changes will apply to the Silver, Coconut, Anejo & Reposado expressions across the Europe, Middle East & Africa and Asia-Pacific regions.
The higher-end Cristalino and Milenio iterations will retain the existing packaging look.
According to Proximo, the revamp, which includes images detailing the production process for 1800, is designed to improve “consumer education” about the Tequila category.
As well as the production “iconography”, nutritional details and tasting notes will also feature.
The six-strong 1800 portfolio sits alongside Jose Cuervo in Cuervo’s portfolio. The group also owns Bushmills Irish whiskey.
