Thai Beverage Public Co (ThaiBev) has unveiled a revised corporate structure and lined up a raft of changes at senior executive level.
The company, which owns the Chang beer brand and the International Beverage spirits division, said this week that its updated structure has been designed to “enhance collaboration and synergies across product groups. Consisting of four units grouped by product – beer, food, non-alcoholic beverage and spirits – the redesign should also “strengthen competitiveness and create sustainable growth”, ThaiBev said in a filing with Singapore Exchange Securities.
The personnel moves see spirits product group chief Sopon Racharaksa become ThaiBev’s president, a role positioned just below that of CEO Thapana Sirivadhanabhakdi. Replacing Racharaksa will be Kosit Suksingha, the current lead of non-alcoholic beverage operations.
Finally, Rahul Colaco, who had been chief of spirits international – which includes International Beverage – for a year prior to becoming CEO of ThaiBev’s Fraser & Neave Singaporean business last October, will assume Suksingha’s responsibilities.
All the changes will take effect next Thursday (1 October).
A similar project almost exactly a year ago at International Beverage resulted in UK MD Malcolm Leask stepping away from the Balblair and Old Pulteney scotch whiskies owner after 17 years.
