Moët Hennessy has unveiled three premixes featuring its Chandon wine brand as their base alcohol.
Chandon Spritz comprises three SKUs, all of which have been produced in Argentina and created by the brand owner’s chef de cave at Chandon Argentina, Ana Paula Bartolucci, who worked with the winemaking & vinegrowing director of Chandon California, Pauline Lhote. The trio will be available from this month in the on- and off-premise channels across Europe at an SRP of EUR19.90 (US$23) per bottle.
The line consists of:
- Chandon Spritz Orange Peel & Spices, made with chardonnay, pinot noir and sémillon grapes, 11.5% ABV
- Chandon Spritz Lemon & Verbena, sourced from muscat grapes, 6% ABV, and
- Chandon Spritz Berries & Hibiscus, also made with muscat grapes, also 6% ABV
“By exploring mixology, we developed innovative recipes, testing 179 formulations over six years using fresh fruit, herbs and spices,” said Moët Hennessy. “The result: botanical macerations obtained through slow extraction of aromas, whether from organic lemons and oranges, Patagonia raspberries and blackcurrants, hibiscus or lemon verbena.
“In addition, our two lower-alcohol recipes stand out to be crafted without any dealcoholising process.
Late last month, the brand owner, which is part of thre LVMH high-end products conglomerate, agreed the sale of its Chandon India winery in the western state of Maharashtra to domestic leader Sula Vineyards.
