Barcenas, who was promoted from sustainability global VP to CSO in August 2021 will end her almost-11-year stint with the brewer at the end of this month. According to the company, she will “take on a different professional opportunity”, further details of which were not disclosed.
Stepping up will be De Ryck, who has been with AB InBev since 2001. Her career started in supply chain planning & schedule managing before heading into procurement. De Ryck has been the VP of procurement & sustainability for Europe for just over a year.
Based out of Leuven in Belgium, De Ryck will report in to chief supply chain officer Ricardo Moreira.
In October, AB InBev posted an 8.3% increase in sales from the nine months to the end of September. Brewing peer Carlsberg set the full-year pace earlier this week with a 9.2% top-line lift from 2023.
AB InBev will announce its full-year figures on 29 February.
