At TFWA Singapore next month, Beehive will showcase its craftsmanship heritage through Beehive XO Gold Edition, a limited release highlighting the House’s blending expertise and its ambitions across key international markets.
Housed in a distinctive gold bottle, this edition pays tribute to the richness and enduring elegance of the brandy it contains. Conceived as a collector’s item, the decanter reflects the heritage and refinement that have defined Beehive since 1852, while appealing to a new generation of premium spirits consumers drawn to both quality and design.
The blend is crafted from carefully selected, aged eaux-de-vie, including a rare component distilled from Red Muscadel grapes. Unusual in brandy production, this varietal introduces honeyed tones and delicate pastry notes, complemented by hints of toasted oak and fig. The result is a well-balanced, expressive profile that combines aromatic depth with refined structure, firmly positioning it in the premium segment.
This launch aligns with ongoing growth and premiumisation within the global brandy category, particularly in Asia Pacific and emerging luxury markets. In this context, XO Gold Edition reflects Beehive’s strategy to elevate its image while reinforcing its identity as a historic yet forward-looking House.
Founded in 1852, Beehive traces its origins to Edouard Adet and Gustave Curcier, who sailed from Bordeaux to Australia with barrels of brandy. Their entrepreneurial drive quickly established the brand beyond Europe, with its spirits enjoyed in regions including India and parts of Africa. Their efforts also contributed to early trade links between France and Australia, earning Adet recognition as Acting French Consul and a Knight of the Legion of Honour.
This international outlook continues to shape the brand today. Rooted in French tradition, Beehive draws on its savoir-faire to create elegant blends suited to diverse markets. Its Master Blenders carefully select, age and assemble eaux-de-vie to ensure consistency while preserving each expression’s unique character.
With Beehive XO Gold Edition, this expertise reaches a new level. The inclusion of Red Muscadel eaux-de-vie reflects a willingness to explore beyond traditional grape varieties, adding originality while remaining true to Beehive’s signature style—smooth, approachable and subtly complex.
Presentation is central to the product’s positioning. The gold-toned bottle, paired with a black stopper, conveys modern elegance while maintaining a strong connection to the brand’s heritage. As premium spirits increasingly compete on both quality and visual identity, such design elements play a key role, particularly in gifting and travel retail.
Beehive XO Gold Edition will be available through selected retailers in the Middle East, China and India – regions where demand for high-end spirits continues to grow. Its debut at TFWA Singapore from 10 to 14 May offers a strategic opportunity to engage distributors, buyers and industry professionals, supporting the brand’s continued international expansion.
