Sazerac Co is lining up the rollout of a new-to-market line of liqueurs under its namesake brand name.
Sazerac House of Cocktails, which consists of six iterations, features the group’s Sazerac de Forge cognac as its base alcohol. Designed with a view to being included in cocktails, all seven have been available at the Sazerac House venue in New Orleans since January.
The line comprises:
- Aperitivo – 25% ABV
- Amaro – 35%
- Triple Sec – 40%
- Curacao – 40%
- Elderflower – 20%, and
- Coffee – 17%
While specific details about the release were not disclosed, UK-based design agency Boundless, which worked on the extension’s appearance, said a nationwide rollout across the US “will follow later this year”. The SRP has been set at US$19.99 per 75cl bottle.
Earlier this week, local reports linked privately-owned Sazerac Co to a recently-closed distillery in Kentucky. The company, which owns the Buffalo Trace American whiskey brand, appeared to have purchased the debt associated with Garrard County Distilling Co through a business registered to the same address as its headquarters, also in Kentucky.
