Angus Dundee Distillers has followed last year’s 200th anniversary of its Glencadam single malt with a packaging upgrade across the brand’s full portfolio.
The company, which acquired Glencadam – along with its distillery – from Allied Domecq in 2003, has unveiled the refresh this week. Starting with the ten- and 15-year-old iterations (above) alongside the Reserva PX, the move will extend across the entire range “in the coming weeks”.
As well as highlighting maturation details and tasting notes, the new look also features “hand-drawn illustrations [that] reference how the distillery would have appeared in 1825”.
“This new packaging represents evolution, not reinvention,” said Glencadam master blender Iain Forteath. “Our … production methods, … house style and commitment to traditional craftsmanship remain unchanged. What has changed is how we tell our story, with a confident new look that celebrates both our heritage and the quality of the … whisky we make.”
Late last year, family-owned Angus Dundee officially opened Glencadam’s on-site visitor centre, the result of a “multi-million-pound” investment.
