Gallo has signed a deal with the US Tennis Association (USTA) to have its Clos du Bois brand as the “official wine” of the US Open.
The “multi-year” partnership for the brand’s chardonnay varietal will begin at this year’s tournament at in New York, which runs from 18 August to 7 September. Gallo will also send two fans to the 2026 US Open Men’s Finals in a sweepstake as part of the collaboration.
Alongside chardonnay, the California wine’s portfolio also features pinot grigio, sauvignon blanc, cabernet sauvignon, merlot and pinot noir varietals. Gallo acquired the winery in 2021 from Constellation Brands when the latter divested a raft of wine brands.
Last month, Gallo revealed it will close Courtside Cellars in San Luis Obispo County on 8 September, according to a recent Worker Adjustment & Retraining Notification.
