Vinarchy has released details of its board of directors, which features two former senior beverage alcohol executives, one from Berry, Bros & Rudd and Diageo.
The five-strong board, confirmed today (22 July), includes Dan Jago, who was appointed at the back-end of April, when Vinarchy was founded. Jago (below), who will sit as an independent non-executive director, was the chief executive of London-based Berry Bros & Rudd for four years from 2015 to 2019.
Joining him will be Claudia Schubert, who just over a year ago called time on her 22 years with Diageo. Schubert (below) was the president of the group’s North America division at the time of her departure, having replaced Debra Crew in the role in late 2022.
Crew, who moved up to become Diageo’s CEO, left the company with immediate effect last week.
Vinarchy’s board is completed by chair Ben Clarke, Mitch Taylor, a partner at Samuel Terry Asset Management, and UK-based executive Neil Robson, who also sits on the board of Thames Water.
Vinarchy, which is owned by a consortium of private equity businesses, comprises a combination of Acolade Wines’ assets and the bulk of Pernod Ricard’s wine operations, the purchase of which was announced almost exactly a year ago.
