Campari Group has followed last year’s divisional restructuring with the appointment of a head for its ‘Tequila & Mexican Spirits’ unit.
Andrea Sengara (below) has moved up from her current role of head of marketing in the US to assume the MD position. Sengara, who has previously worked for Bacardi, Diageo and Moët Hennessy, joined Campari Group in mid-2020.
As well as a collective 15 years with the trio of spirits brand owners before joining the Espolòn tequila brand owner, Sengara also spent three years with Combs Wine & Spirits, the beverage alcohol business founded by Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, where she oversaw the day-to-day running of the DeLeón tequila joint venture with Diageo.
In October, the Milan-headquartered multinational completed an internal redraw of operations, resulting in the creation of four “houses of brands”, the groupings of which comprise cognac & champagne, aperitifs, whiskey & rum and tequila.
As well as the Espolòn mark, which is the subject of a “international expansion strategy” announced earlier this month, Campari Group also owns the Montelobos mezcal brand.
