After almost 20 years away from both the spirits industry and from his native Netherlands, Leo Evers returned to both six months ago. The executive, who started his career with Lucas Bols in 1990, switched to beer five years later with Heineken, rising through the ranks over a 25-year period to become regional MD for Asia Pacific in 2019. A one-year stint with Carlsberg, still in Asia, followed, before he joined De Kuyper Royal Distillers as CEO in May.
