Koloa Rum Co has expanded its US market presence with its main distribution partner Republic National Distributing Co (RNDC) from 12 states to 20.
RNDC will distribute the company’s namesake portfolio to Georgia, South Carolina, Louisiana, Texas, Colorado, Michigan, Maryland and Washington DC. The Hawaiian rum brand has also made agreements with three additional distributors to enter three other US states: Arkansas with Moon Distributors, Massachusetts with Main Street Wine and Tennessee with Best Brands.
“In 2024, Koloa Rum has expanded its market reach to an additional 12 states due to the extraordinary demand for our Hawaii-inspired products from our loyal fanbase,” said CEO Bob Gunter.
Established in 2009 in Kalaheo on the Hawaiian island of Kauai, Koloa Rum Co now produces eight premium rums and an RTD cocktail line, which debuted two years ago.
In another promising sign for rum in the US, the spirits division of US wine giant Gallo made a “strategic investment” in Puerto Rico-based rum brand Ron del Barrilito earlier this month.
