Mexico’s Condesa Gin has followed news of its stake sale to Gallo this month with a debut in the global travel retail channel.

Starting this week at New York’s JFK Airport, the two expressions from the brand are the subject of a partnership for its launch with Latin America and US distributor, importer and marketer Monarq Group. Condesa’s Classica and Prickly Pear iterations will both go on sale at the DFS Group-operated outlet at JFK’s Terminal Four.

The pair will retail in GTR for US$35 each per unit.

Condesa, which is produced in a distillery in Mexico City, agreed the divestment of an unspecified stake to US giant Gallo earlier this month. The transaction also includes US importation responsibilities for Gallo.

Monarq also signed up single malt producer Isle of Raasay Distillery as a GTR client in August.
