Rémy Cointreau will mark the 300th anniversary of its flagship Rémy Martin cognac brand this year with a raft of activities – including a new, limited edition, high-end expression.
The 300th Anniversary Coupe is the latest commemorative iteration after the 290th, and went on sale this week. Limited to 6.724 numbered units worldwide, the liquid contains eaux-de-vie from brand’s “Réserve Perpétuelle” as well as from the previous anniversary coupe, both sourced solely from grapes grown in the Grande Champagne area in the Cognac region.
One thousand of the units are available in the US through “high-end retailers, private client directors” and from the Rémy Martin website, with an SRP of US$2,735 each.
Joining the new release will be “a collection of festive limited edition releases” of Rémy Martin’s XO, 1738 Accord Royal, Tercet and VSOP marks. Meanwhile, the brand’s XO and VSOP expressions will host red and gold versions to mark the Lunar New Year.
“Celebrating 300 years of history is a milestone for Rémy Martin,” said House of Rémy Martin CEO Jean-Philippe Hecquet. “By inviting our consumers to explore our craft and story and by teaming up with the most promising creative talents, together we build exceptional cognacs for the next generations.”
Rémy Cointreau finished last year with the confirmation of plans to revise the marketing position for Rémy Martin’s VSOP expression in the US.
