Zamora Co’s Spanish winery Ramón Bilbao has signed a marketing tie-up with the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF).
The unit’s namesake brand will become the “official wine” of Spain’s men’s and women’s national soccer teams. The partnership, the duration and financial details of which were not disclosed, includes hospitality and fan engagement initiatives, with Ramón Bilbao wines to feature in VIP areas at Spanish stadiums during matches and tournaments.
The brand will also appear in “fan activations” and promotional events around the national teams’ fixtures over the next two years, with FIFA’s 2026 World Cup tournament coming up for the men’s team across Canada, Mexico and the US, as well as matches featuring the national women’s team as they try to qualify for the 2027 World Cup in Brazil.
In July, Zamora posted a strong performance profits-wise from last year despite a near-3% decline in sales.
