‘The third quarter … reflected a sequential improvement in sales compared with the first part of the year, with sales stabilising at levels similar to those recorded in 3Q25.’

Concha y Toro Quarterly Sales chart Q1 2022-Q3 2026

Viña Concha y Toro has seen its recent sales declines slow to near-parity in the third quarter of 2026, re-emphasising its forecast of growth for next year.

  • Sales from three months to end of September decline 2.2% – -0.7% “in constant currency” – to CLP245.6bn (US$248.8m)
  • For year to date, top-line slides 4.7% to CLP671.5bn

Viña Concha y Toro has seen its recent sales declines slow to near-parity in the third quarter of 2026, re-emphasising its forecast of growth for next year.

After the first six months of this year delivered a 6.2% drop in year-on-year sales, the Casillero del Diablo owner said late yesterday (2 November) that its top line in the three months to the end of September hit -2.2% on the corresponding quarter a year ago. For the year to date, therefore, sales sit at -4.7%, reflecting what the group described as a “sequential improvement” on H1.

There was good news for the Chilean wine giant in the US, where, alongside its imported wine footprint, the company also owns the Bonterra Organic Estate business in California: The country’s -32.2% (in Q1) and -13.9%  (Q2) sales crashes were reversed in the third quarter, which was up by 2.4%. According to the group, its transition to new distributors in the US – a factor that accounted for the bulk of H1’s travails – has now been “practically completed”.

Elsewhere outside of its home country, Concha’s ‘export markets’ posted a combined sales decrease of 4.3% in the latest quarter. Flagging a “highly competitive environment” in its key export battleground of the UK, Concha also noted the impact of an unspecified change of the bottling model on its performance in Denmark. On the plus side, ‘Asia’ collectively was up by just over 10% in value sales, as was Canada, where a change in distribution occurred during Q1.

“The third quarter of 2026 reflected a sequential improvement in sales compared with the first part of the year, with sales stabilising at levels similar to those recorded in 3Q25, said CEO Eduardo Guilisasti. “Among the highlights of the quarter was sales growth in the US, reflecting the normalisation of operations as the distributor transition process neared completion. We also returned to growth in the Chilean domestic market and continued to make progress across much of Latin America, including Brazil and Mexico.

“The company’s operational efficiency and digital transformation plan remains fully underway. Together with the strength of our commercial strategy, this allows us to project a rebound in sales of between 1.9% and 4.7% in 2027.”

Speaking to Global Drinks Intel last month, group corporate affairs director Patricio Poblete said that Concha remains interested in acquiring established wine brands that “complement our portfolio” in the medium term. In February, the company made its first foray into Europe’s wine production area with an investment in France’s Maison Mirabeau., through its unit for the UK, Ireland, mainland Europe & Nordic markets, VCT Europe.

‘The simplification of wine is critically important – it’s also a significant opportunity for the wider category’ – Vinarchy CEO Danny Celoni speaks to Global Drinks Intel
