Champagne house Piper-Heidsieck has leveraged its historical popularity with Marilyn Monroe, announcing the global rollout of a bottle for its namesake brand featuring a portrait of the US actor.
The company has secured ‘official champagne partner’ status for Marilyn Monroe’s 100th birthday celebrations. As part of the arrangement, Marilyn Monroe Cuvée will go on sale in “select markets worldwide” throughout this year.
The pack is on sale now in the US with an SRP of US$70.99.
“Marilyn Monroe’s free-spirited, celebratory essence perfectly aligns with Piper-Heidsieck’s mission: to light up life’s celebrations with joy,” said Piper-Heidsieck CEO Stéphane Decaux. “With this limited-edition release, we honour her extraordinary legacy, her luminous personality and the priceless connection she shares with our house.”
Monroe was born on 1 June 1926 and passed away on 4 August 1962, aged 36.
Decaux was appointed CEO of Piper-Heidsieck by the business’s owner, Européenne de Participations Industrielles, in March last year. The executive had spent the previous three years with Nicolas Feuillatte owner Terroirs et Vignerons de Champagne as its GM.
