Pennsylvania’s Grovedale Winery has strengthened the portfolio of its attention-grabbing wine brand, which launched at the height of the pandemic.
Sh!tshow Reserve is a Cabernet Sauvignon that has spent an extra ten months in virgin American oak barrels. The varietal joins the brand’s three-strong line, which debuted in 2020 and includes a Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot red, a Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot rosé and a Chenin Blanc/Viognier white, on its official website.
Priced at US$28 per bottle, the new addition costs $8 more than its three older siblings.
Grovedale sources the wine for the brand from “the west coast” and handles the blending in its home state.
According to recent research, the wine industry is feeling the squeeze currently in the US, losing out to beer and spirits not only with younger LDA consumers but also with ethnic minorities.
