Japanese rice wine producer Sake ONO has struck a deal with beverage distributor DrinksOne Brands in the UK.
The arrangement with DrinksOne, announced this week, will mark the sake brand’s debut in the UK market. The distributor will handle Sake ONO’s on-premise distribution in the country.
Global Drinks Intel has enquired about off-premise and wholesale responsibilities.
“We’re excited to introduce Sake ONO to the UK, giving both on-trade and consumers access to a world-class sake that redefines expectations,” said DrinksOne MD Nick Worthington. “This partnership reflects our commitment to championing innovative, high-quality brands, and we look forward to seeing Sake ONO thrive in the UK market.”
Sake ONO’s namesake brand launched in April last year with a Junmai Daiginjo blend, which is produced at the Yoshi No Gawa brewery in Niigata, Japan.
Founded in 2023, DrinksOne already has another sake brand, SoGood Sake, on its roster. The company also distributes non-alcoholic company Ish’s portfolio as well as Flaming Pig Irish whiskey and Capucana Cachaça.
