Australian Vintage’s McGuigan Wines brand has become the “official wine partner” of the group’s national cricket team.
The “multi-year” partnership, announced this week, will see the flagship wine brand sponsor both the Australian men’s and women’s cricket teams, domestically and internationally. The collaboration will include limited edition co-branded products and in-ground activations at matches featuring either of the teams.
Financial details behind the arrangement were not disclosed.
Cricket Australia’s “venue partners” include the Adelaide Oval, Bellerive Oval, The Gabba, Melbourne Cricket Ground, Perth Stadium and Sydney Cricket Ground, according to its website.
Two months ago, Australian Vintage acquired “international ownership” of Western Australian wine brand MadFish from domestic peer Burch Family Wines.
