Edrington and Rémy Cointreau have switched their Californian distribution partners, from Republic National Distributing Co (RNDC) to Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits.
Following RNDC’s exit from the western US state last month, both spirits brand owners have made the same change, with Edrington’s tie-up beginning on 1 August and Rémy Cointreau’s on 1 September. Subsequently, Southern Glazer’s will represent the entire portfolios of both companies in California.
The newly appointed distributor already handles Edrington’s stable in Nevada and Tennessee. Meanwhile, the Rémy Martin brand owner’s portfolio has been distributed by Southern Glazer’s in New York since 2020.
In February, Brown-Forman announced a change of distributor from RNDC in California, moving to Reyes Beverage Group. Tito’s Handmade Vodka also made the same move earlier this year.
