Accolade Wines has lined up the divestment of ‘The Park’, its bottling and warehousing site in the west of England.

The facility, which bottles bulk wine for the UK market for Accolade as well as third-party companies, will transition to beverage supply chain specialist Encirc for an undisclosed sum. Accolade has secured a ten-year bottling and distribution arrangement as part of the agreement, which should complete at the start of next year.

According to CEO Robert Foye, the sale will “support our premiumisation strategy in the growth markets of Europe and around the world”. Accolade, which was acquired by private equity giant The Carlyle Group in 2018 for AUD1bn [then-US$769.7m], owns a raft of wine brands including Hardys, Banrock Station and Echo Falls.

Formerly called Accolade Park, the Bristol-based facility produces zero waste and is carbon neutral, with the capability to produce around 30m nine-litre cases per year.
